John S. Clark Company Employees Receive Green Advantage Commercial Certification
John S. Clark Company, LLC is pleased to announce that nine members of their team have been certified Green Advantage Environmental Commercial. An array of John S. Clark Company, LLC team members have passed the exam including Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Designers and Field Superintendents - Greg Savage, Bill Bryan, Robbie Nunn, Douglas Patterson, Regina Davis, Scott Winesett, Danny Presley, Dean Seaford and Richard Travis passed the exam. Greg Savage, Clark’s Director of Sustainable Construction and LEED AP, also holds the Green Advantage Environmental Residential Certification, making John S. Clark Company the only General Contractor in the Piedmont Triad to have team members with both certifications.
Green Advantage is an environmental certification for building-related practitioners who have proven knowledge about green building principles, practices and strategies, materials, techniques and core concepts behind sustainability. The comprehensive training adheres to the integrated green design philosophy and to collaborative approach to sustainable building. Understanding the interdependencies of a building’s various systems is fundamental to creating a design and construction process that will produce a cost effective, environmentally responsible, durable and desirable building project.

Green Advantage Certification Program is designed to be a non-competitive, complementary offering that supports the USGBC LEED certification and supports LEED Accreditation. A LEED Innovation Credit can be achieved if a significant percentage of a project’s building force is Green Advantage Certified. John S. Clark Company, LLC has three LEED Accredited Professionals on staff and over twenty employees are involved in a LEED AP study group.
