John S. Clark Company, LLC; On the Leading Edge of Project Management Technology
In order to deliver superior service and maximize the value we bring to our clients, John S. Clark Company has developed new technology based tools for our Superintendents, making them more efficient and productive in the field. This mobile, rapid-response, interactive field communications and project management system is called Field2Base. The system allows our field managers to collect, document, and transmit data from the job site in real time, leaving more time to manage and supervise subcontractors as well as our own personnel. This reduces errors, saves cost and improves safety and quality.
To optimize the Field2Base system, JSClark’s in house IT experts customized the software system and provided training as well as ongoing support for the users on the job site.
Each JSClark Superintendent has been issued and trained to use a tablet notebook computer equipped with touch screen technology, as well as a digital camera, printer-scanner-fax machine, digital storage devices, and all the necessary peripheral supplements to support this totally stand-alone mobile office operation.
Clark designed and initiated a two phase training program to maximize Field2Base success.

All JSClark Superintendents company-wide have undergone this training; and are utilizing Field2Base to help manage their projects. Every newly hired project superintendent is required to successfully complete this training, prior to the assignment of a project.
All data transmitted from the field is integrated automatically into Timberline, the core project management system used by John S. Clark.
